Vidya Devi Jindal School (VDJS) Kosi Kalan (Mathura) was founded on 15th of April 1989, under the management of Vidya Devi Jindal School welfare society. Late Shri. OM Prakash Jindal is the founding father of VDJS. Prompted by the egalitarian spirit, he launched ‘Mission Education’ to empower the folk through education in the low literacy rate prevailing rural areas of Kosi-Kalan. It is a town located in Brij Bhoomi, 42km away from the Holy City, Mathura, where Lord Krishna spent his childhood days. On 1st of February 1995 VDJSWS signed a pact with the Roman Catholic Agra Arch-Diocese Education Society whereby RCDAEW came to the helm of VDJS academic administration. The panache of VDJS is her belief that quality education is the panacea for all social evils. The emphasis she gives to quality education to root out social evils and thereby achieve individual and national progress has earned her a name par excellence. The alumni of VDJS fanned out in hundreds to top leadership positions across the public and private sectors serve as leaven of transformation.
